Could everyone just stop saying “group of death”?

Yeah, yeah – we live in an age of marketing speak and hyperbole.  There are no “models” anymore, they are all “supermodels”.

But, the idea that every tournament has a “group of death” is just silly.  Brazil, Ivory Coast, Portugal and North Korea … is being pegged as the next WC`s Group of Death.  Brazil – heavyweight, good chance to win the thing.  Ivory Coast – Africa`s best chance to win the thing.  Portugal – lucky to be there, did not do well in Qualifying.  North Korea – a minnow,like the other AFC countries, not taken seriously by the rest of the world.

Or maybe I am misunderstanding, and just being old and crotchetty.  Maybe “Group of DEATH!!!” means “a slightly harder group than the others”?
